Cake Decorators | New York

We are an established bakery seeking cake decorators who possess experience in the field and can maintain production quota.

 Job Duties:

  • Flip, fill, frost and finish cakes for showcase and orders

  • Make a butter cream rose and other drop flowers

  • Follow instructions on order forms to customers’ specifications

  • Communicate with customers regarding their orders

  • Order supplies needed for cake designs

  • Able to lift 25 lb tubs of icing

  • Create designs for seasonal and holiday cakes. As well as decorate dummy cakes for display

  • Keep inventory and monitor quality of products in freezer and walk-in daily.

  • Fill showcase with cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, and other products sold daily

Qualifications:

  • Verse in Whip Cream, and Butter cream icings; basic fondant experience. Extensive fondant experience a plus

  • Must have minimum of 2-4 yrs pastry school or 2-4 years high volume commercial bakery experience

  • Knowledge of airbrushing and free hand drawing

  • Neat handwriting on cakes in cursive or block letters

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and am or pm

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
